1.) Cloth Bowl Covers

These reusable bowl covers are made from food-safe laminated cotton and have elastic edging that stretches over bowls. They are perfect for refrigerator storage as well as taking food to a potluck. My husband also uses them to cover his bread dough when it is rising. We have had ours for years and they are easy to clean and have held up very well.
2.) Silicone Stasher Bags

Move over plastic baggies and hello Stasher bags! Stasher makes durable, reusable bags out of food safe silicone. We have a whole bunch of them and use them for everything from storing cheese in the fridge to nuts in the freezer to taking snacks on-the-go. The seal is leak-free and the bags are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe up to 425ºF.
3.) Beeswax Wraps

Beeswax wraps have become a popular alternative to plastic wrap because they can be molded around a bowl to create a seal. The wraps are made from cotton cloth that is infused with beeswax. The warmth of your hands makes the cloth pliable and allows you to mold it around bowls, plates or pieces of food. I have a tutorial to make homemade beeswax wraps if you are interested!
4.) Glass Containers with Leakproof Lids

Swap out those old, beat-up plastic containers for a set of durable glass food storage containers. We love the ones with locking lids because they are leakproof and keep food fresh for longer. These are microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.
5.) Silicone Lids

These multipurpose silicone lids are helpful for so many things! Use them as splatter lids in the microwave, to store leftovers in the fridge and even as a cover for a pan on the stove. They are dishwasher safe and heat resistant up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.
6.) Food Huggers

Food Huggers are handy little silicone lids that are designed to cover the cut end of food to keep it fresh. They are made from 100% food grade silicone and come in many different sizes to cover everything from oranges, to cucumbers to my favorite – avocados!
7.) Stretchy Silicone Covers

What makes these silicone covers so great is that they can be stretched to fit over bowls, plates, cans and food items. They create an airtight seal that locks in freshness and can be used in the microwave and are dishwasher safe. These are a no-brainer in our kitchen!
8.) Food Storage Set

Invest in a Food Storage Set from Caraway and you’ll be set with containers in a variety of sizes to meet all your needs. The large containers are made from borosilicate glass with a non-toxic ceramic coating and are freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe. The small containers are made with BPA-free plastic and silicone, and are handy for sauces, dips and small amounts of anything.
9.) Keeki Bread Bags

The Keeki bag is the only bag we’ve found to keep my husband’s homemade bread fresh! It’s a linen cloth bag that is lined with a beeswax liner. The beeswax has anti-microbial properties and helps keep crusty bread fresh much better than plastic.
10.) Vejibag

Keeping produce fresh without plastic can be tricky but the Vejibag knows how! Just soak your organic cotton Vejibag in water and then place damp vegetables inside. Every few days, if the bag gets dry, just dampen it with more water. These unique bags help keep produce fresh for up to two weeks!
