Beautycounter Cleansing Balm is unlike anything else you have used to clean your face. Learn how to use Beautycounter Cleansing Balm to cleanse, remove makeup & more!

What in the heck is a cleansing balm?

I honestly didn’t know until I started working with Beautycounter and was introduced to the Beautycounter Cleansing Balm and believe me, it was a game changer!

I may receive commissions from purchases made through links in this article. Full Disclosure

Unlike most facial cleansers that are a liquid or cream, Beautycounter Cleansing Balm is a thick balm that literally melts into your skin, leaving it feeling wonderfully soft and moisturized. It’s unlike anything else I have used to clean my face.

The unique formula is based on shea butter and nourishing oils like avocado and jojoba, and was developed to both cleanse skin and remove makeup, while providing deep hydration at the same time. It’s technically unscented but a blend of flower oils and extracts give it a lovely light fragrance that I absolutely love.

The best part about the Beautycounter Cleansing Balm is that it is the ultimate multi-tasking beauty product! Here are a few of its superpowers:

  • facial cleanser
  • makeup remover
  • hydrating mask
  • night cream
  • highlighter over makeup
  • skin moisturizer for hands, cuticles and elbows

How to Use Beautycounter Cleansing Balm

Here’s how I recommend using Beautycounter Cleansing Balm:

Take a dime-sized amount (it’s super concentrated – you don’t need much!) and rub it between your fingers and then all over your face.

Next,  gently massage the balm into you skin, using circular motions.

Then, wet the muslin cleansing cloth (it comes with the product!) with warm to hot water and use it to gently wipe the balm off of the face.

After that, rinse your face using warm to cool water, although don’t be afraid to leave some of the product on overnight.

For some people, additional moisturizer may not be necessary, but I like to massage a few drops of one of the Beautycounter face oils into my skin before heading to bed. That combo is pure heaven to me!

Beautycounter Cleansing Balm is one of many Beautycounter products that help reduce the signs of aging, while promoting healthy, nourished skin.

P.S. If you are the DIY type – try my Homemade Cleansing Balm. It might not be quite as sophisticated as the Beautycounter version, but it is a really nice homemade beauty product at a very affordable price!

I don’t think I’ve ever tried anything like this, but I’m a total sucker for good beauty products! It looks awesome. I love that you can use it as a highlighter over makeup. I’m definitely going to check it out!
