Lots of candy-free Valentine’s Day crafts and card ideas that are so adorable, no one will miss the candy!

Candy Free Homemade Valentine's Day Gifts

Have you seen a lot of hearts in your Pinterest feed lately? Yeah, me too!

Pinterest + Valentine’s Day. Now there’s a match made in heaven!

I’ve been searching for fun Valentine’s Day crafts & cards to make with the kids. But have you noticed how many of the card ideas include candy? Since when did candy become the new standard for school Valentine’s Day cards?

We don’t need no stinkin’ candy! There are plenty of homemade, candy-free DIY Valentine’s Day card ideas out there if you look. I rounded a bunch up on my Green Valentine’s Day Pinterest board but here are a few of my favorites:

Candy-free Valentine’s Day Crafts & Cards

Grab a stash of rulers, red paper and heart stickers and you’ll be ready to rule the classroom with these You Rule cards.

Need a teacher gift? How about a heart-shaped felted sweater drink coaster? Make them from old sweaters that you turn into felt in the wash! Just pin a note on it and you’re good to go!

Yarn hearts are just the ticket for that warm, fuzzy Valentine feeling.

It doesn’t get any simpler than this. Get messy with some paint and use a cookie cutter to create heart-shaped mini art cards.

Still stumped? This list of goofy Valentine’s Day sayings paired with non-candy treats is priceless! You’ll find I’ve had my eye on you – paired with a mini magnifying glass, You make my heard glow – paired with a glow stick, I’m so glad we’re in the same school – paired with goldfish crackers – and 60 more silly ideas.

Does your school allow candy treats for Valentine’s Day?
