Have you ever been to Vermont? If you haven’t, I’m telling you – you need to put it on your bucket list. After spending just 3 days in the Vermont countryside, I am smitten, in love and can’t wait to go back!
We stayed in a tiny town called Pittsfield, at Amee Farm Lodge, where our friends are the innkeepers. It was such a special place – I just have to show you a few photos. The photos above and below are the views we woke up to each morning. We looked out over Sweet Georgia P’s farm, with the beautiful Green Mountains in the background. More fun photos of the farm later.
We spent a lot of time hanging out on this incredible wrap around porch:
The guest rooms feature hand crafted furniture made from reclaimed wood. This was our room. I wanted to take everything in it home with me.
Each room has a unique headboard, wardrobe, bench and other artwork, all created by the same crafts person….originally from Minnesota of all places!
The Sweet Georgia P’s farm is right across the street. They have a CSA with organic veggies, eggs, maple syrup and more, available in Vermont, Massachusetts and New York. We got a hand’s on tour!
Even the hen house is well designed!
We were hoping to meet the husband and wife who run the place but sadly they were too busy working. That’s a farmer’s life for you. But we did eat their delicious veggies for dinner.
And when lounging around the gorgeous B&B wasn’t enough, there were tons of activities in the area. We took an awesome bike tour to a nearby town with Great Bike Tours, we tubed down the Tweed River and we did some “extreme” hiking on the nearby Green Mountain trails. Plus the area is only 1 1/2 hours from Burlington, VT – home of Ben & Jerry’s!
Three days in Vermont was not enough. I’ll be back!

I couldn’t agree with you more. I adore VT. We cycled through the Middlebury area this summer and it was fantastic. Seeing a “No GMOs” sign at a farm was a highlight! I need to get the info from you for this inn. Looks fabulous. Glad your vacation was wonderful.
