What’s so great about coconut oil?
Coconuts are nutrient powerhouses, loaded with iron, magnesium, calcium and potassium, as well as antioxidants, which inhibit harmful free radicals in our bodies. Consumption of coconut has been linked to prevention of chronic diseases like cancer and heart disease, as well as increased metabolism, better bone strength and a boosted immune system. Coconut oil is a saturated fat that is mostly made of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs). MCTs are fats that the body can burn off quickly, making them a healthier option than other saturated fats, such as butter.
