NEW From Stonyfield: Oh My Yog! and Greek & Chia

Stonyfield Greek & Chia and Oh My Yog

In marketing speak, I’m what you would call a “heavy user” of Stonyfield yogurt. It’s not often that that there isn’t any in my fridge. Usually it’s a quart of Low-Fat Vanilla, Banilla or Plain but flavored cups make their way in there too – like my fav Greek Dark Cherry or the occasional Chocolate Underground for the kiddos.

So it’s no surprise that I’m super excited whenever Stonyfield comes out with something new. I’ve been working with Stonyfield as a Yogetter (blogger ambassador) for many years and I know that when they do a new product, it’s going to be good!

Oh My Yog!

Sometimes you just need a treat and Stonyfield delivers big time with this insanely good whole milk yogurt. Oh My Yog! is a triple layer yogurt – with fruit on the bottom, honey-infused whole milk yogurt in the middle and a decadent layer of cream on top. Yum, yum, yum!

And before you shy away from all that fat (hey, it’s only 5g per cup), keep in mind that fat is making a comeback as part of a healthy diet. As long as you’re not eating it for breakfast, lunch and dinner (which would be tempting), you’ll be OK. And as always, Stonyfield yogurt is organic, making it a healthy choice for you and the planet.

The Gingered Pear is to die for – I got a cup from the lovely Stonyfield gals (in the pic above), while at the Natural Products Expo. Other flavors include Apple Cinnamon, Orange Cranberry, Pacific Coast Strawberry, Wild Quebec Blueberry and Madagascar Vanilla Bean.

Greek & Chia

Mixing yogurt with chia seeds may seem a bit strange, especially if you think of crunchy chia seeds in their natural state. But when chia seeds are hydrated they become plump, soft and very easy to eat.

Mix chia seeds with creamy Greek yogurt and you’ve got an ultra-nutritious combo packed with protein (12g per cup) and Omega 3s (500mg per cup). My fav flavor is Blood Orange but it also comes in Red Berries, Pear, and Blueberry. I can already tell that this stuff will have a regular place in my fridge.

Have you tried either of these yet? I’d love to know your favorite flavors!
