Taking Time to Grieve via mindfulmomma.comYou may have noticed that I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been on a journey that I desperately wish I wasn’t on. My dear mother found out she had cancer and passed away in a very short period of time.

I’m grateful that my sisters and I were able to be with her at the end of her life but devastated at the loss of the incredibly caring and nurturing mom who raised me and the inspiring and supportive friend and grandma that I knew her to be.

After my father passed away, it took me a while to get to a place of acceptance and gratitude. The stages of grief come rolling through: sadness, anger, despair….and eventually quiet gratitude. I’ll be taking a little break to grieve and get my head around this monumental change in my life but don’t worry – I’ll be back – because life is a gift and there’s still a lot more that I want to share with you.
