Spotlight On: Nourishing Cleansing Balm by Beautycounter

Beautycounter’s Cleansing Balm is unlike anything else you have used to clean your face!

Beautycounter Nourishing Cleansing Balm

What in the heck is a cleansing balm?

I honestly didn’t know until I was introduced to the Nourishing Cleansing Balm from Beautycounter. Unlike most facial cleansers that are a liquid or cream, this one is a thick balm that literally melts into your skin, leaving it feeling wonderfully soft and moisturized. It’s unlike anything else I have used to clean my face.

The unique formula is based on shea butter and nourishing oils like avocado and jojoba, and was developed to both cleanse skin and remove makeup, while providing deep hydration at the same time. It’s technically unscented but a blend of flower oils and extracts give it a lovely light fragrance that I absolutely love.

The best part about the Nourishing Cleansing Balm is that it is the ultimate multi-tasker! Here are a few of its superpowers:

  • facial cleanser
  • makeup remover
  • hydrating mask
  • night cream
  • highlighter over makeup
  • skin moisturizer for hands, cuticles and elbows

Here’s how I recommend using it: Take a dime-sized amount (it’s super concentrated – you don’t need much!) and rub it between your fingers and then all over your face. Next, use the muslin cleansing cloth that comes with the product and gently massage it into you skin. After that, rinse lightly using warm water, although don’t be afraid to leave some of the product on overnight. For some people, additional moisturizer may not be necessary, but I like to massage a few drops of the Soothing Face Oil into my skin before heading to bed. That combo is pure heaven to me!

Beautycounter’s Nourishing Cleansing balm is part of the Countertime Collection, which promotes healthy skin while reducing the signs of aging.
