Greener, Safer, Better Stocking Stuffers for Grownups

Greener, Safer, Better Stocking Stuffers

Psssst! Did you know Santa sometimes leaves treats for the grownups when he drops by the house? Not necessarily a stocking full, but a little treat or two. Maybe it’s only when you’ve been extra good. I’m really not sure. All I know is that it’s happened once or twice at our house over the years.

Has this happened at your house too? Or perhaps you’re doing a little stocking exchange with friends or people at work and need some little gifts that will impress but won’t break the bank. Here are a few yummy, eco-minded treats to consider:

1. Soapbox Soaps

There’s lots to love about this soap company on a mission – every bar purchased means a bar of soap for a child in need. Plus the shea butter based soaps are long-lasting and come in 8 wonderful fragrances.

2. Videri Chocolate

Fair trade, organic chocolate – need I say more? YES, because these bars are exceptionally smooth and awesome tasting. Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt is my personal fav! Beautifully packaged with 2 bars inside a 3-oz box.

3. Handmade Bead Bracelet

Handcrafted by artisans in Nairobi, Kenya, these bracelets feature glass beads hand sewn onto an adjustable leather strap. Three unique color combos available.

4. Fig + Yarrow Lip Tint

Keep those kissers well moisturized and looking rosy with this lightly tinted lip balm. Organic plant butters are delicately flavored and scented with pure wild rose and vanilla oils. Packaged in a pocket-sized tin.

5. Nourish Snacks

Healthy but mucho-delicious snacks with goofy names like Monkey Love, Cinn-sational, Holy Habanero and PB Jammin. My taste buds can vouch for how yummy they are! Order gift collections or a la carte.

6. Tori & Howard Candy

Hard candy like you’ve never tasted before: pink grapefruit, blood orange, d’anjou pear and more! All USDA certified organic and colored with real fruits and vegetables. Purchase by the tin or in an assorted gift package.

7. Scented Soy Votive

Non-GMO soy wax + eco certified essential oils + recycled glass = a sweet-smelling stocking stuffer for anyone on your list. Choose from Palmarosa Ylang Ylang, Lemongrass or Rosemary Lavender.

8. Justin’s Nut Butter

Whether you go for plain peanut or fancy chocolate hazelnut, I’ll warn you – Justin’s nut butter is addicting. Individual serving packets make great stocking stuffers but you may want to splurge on a whole jar for yourself!

9. Weleda Travel Lotion

One of my all-time favorite hand lotions in the perfect size for travel or purse. Set of 4 includes Pomegranate, Wild Rose, Sea Buckthorn and Citrus. Split up for stocking stuffers or gift the whole set.

What would you like to find in your stocking this year?

  1. I love Soapbox Soaps, great quality! Just bought 3 of their Holiday Bundles for gifts! Also, very interested in trying the lip tint!

  2. Those are great stocking stuffer ideas. I love the bracelet idea. Handmade jewelry is very special.

    • I agree about the handmade jewelry. Some years I have time to make jewelry gifts myself but if I don’t (like this year!) – I’ll look for things like this to give instead.

  3. These are great ideas for stocking stuffers. I like that they are all green. I really want to try the Fig & Yarrow Lip tint. Maybe I should sent this post to my husband? haha

  4. I’m loving the lip tint! I never wear lipstick but like a tint. I’ll have to check this out!

  5. I love the Weleda travel lotion idea! What a great way to avoid toxic hotel lotions…

  6. Great ideas! I’d love to try the chocolate and I’m sure my husband would love it in his stocking. Is it available in any stores?

  7. Your ideas are great! I’d love healthy snacks in my stocking. 🙂

  8. Santa usually skips the grown-ups’ stockings at my house, but this year he did get dried persimmons for EVERYONE. This is the number 1 item my kids hope Santa will bring them : ) I wouldn’t mind some chocolate either.

  9. Great ideas! I’m all about the chocolates!

  10. Thanks for the great ideas! I especially like the handmade necklace idea.
